Dependable Cleaners undergoes name
change
in restoration division
Dependable Cleaners will now refer to its restoration services
division simply as Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network
(CRDN) of Boston.
The family-owned company made the change
recently after the CRDN convention in Miami when the network
announced that its members could officially adopt its
nationally-recognized brand name as their own.
“Utilizing the name CRDN of Boston
will easily and effectively communicate our restoration
expertise,” said Lori Moore, Division manager for
Dependable Cleaners’ Certified Restoration Drycleaning
Services. “The new name also reinforces that we are
certified as an approved vendor for some of the largest
insurance companies in restoration drycleaning. We are proud to
be known as CRDN of Boston.”
Dependable Cleaners has been affiliated
with CRDN since June of 2003, but its roots in restoration date
back 50 years. The company prides itself in compiling a
comprehensive inventory of damaged clothing and fabric
articles, enabling them to clean and restore two weeks worth of
garments for each family member in only 48 hours.
“It takes unique training and care
to properly treat garments and fabric items that have been
damaged by fire, water and mold,” said Christa Hagearty,
president of Dependable Cleaners.
“Our drycleaning experts use
advanced technology and specialized procedures to restore a
wide variety of difficult items such as suede, leather, shoes
and purses. We have built a reputation for being able to
restore items that other cleaners would declare
unsalvageable,” she added.
According to Dependable’s web site,
they salvage more than 95% of the items they clean.
Dependable Cleaners was founded in 1944
and is headquartered in Quincy, MA. The three-generation,
family-run company has 17 retail locations in Massachusetts and
offers delivery service in Belmont, Braintree, Hingham, Milton,
Newton, Quincy and Watertown.
