Early discount prices available
for TCATA’s 2005 conference
Time is running out to take advantage of early registration rates for the Textile Care Allied Trade Association’s Annual Management & Educational Conference from April 27-30.
TCATA will hold the event at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Phoenix, AZ, which offers discounted hotel room rates for those who make reservations prior to March 28. The reduced cost is $195 plus tax and fees for single/double occupancy rooms. To make reservations, call the hotel at (602) 225-0100 and mention the conference.
Registration costs are also lower for those who register before March 27 — $625 per member and $270 for a spouse.
However, after the deadline passes, members will each pay $675 and $320 for his or her spouse. To register, contact TCATA at (973) 244-1790.
Headlining the event will be Mac Fulfer, a nationally-known speaker on face reading — the ability to interpret a person’s facial expressions in order to determine key personality traits about them.
A former trial attorney, Fulfer will give attendees tips on how to read their customers’ faces and gain valuable insight to their psyche. He will speak from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Also on the weekend’s agenda is a seminar by Dr. Bart Basi, a CPA, attorney and teacher, who will discuss choosing a successor in business. Issues such as buy/sell agreements, estate planning and valuing a business will all be addressed during his seminar from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Joining the list of conference speakers will be Alan Buhler, a speaker and trainer with experience in helping companies improve their sales. From 9 a.m. until noon on Friday, he will discuss incentive programs designed to motive an entire sales force — not just the top dogs — simply by focusing on positive behaviors that deserve to be rewarded.
Conference registration will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27. TCATA will also host a board meeting, a First Timers Reception and an Opening Reception throughout the day.
Thursday’s activities will begin at 8 a.m. with the association’s golf tournament and end following the conclusion of the Young Timers Party from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.
TCATA’s closing reception and Party from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 will wrap up the conference.
