for Drycleaners
Production monitoring system
MARGATE, FL — Garment-Tech has launched a new product, The Shirt Counter for shirt presses and The Garment Counter for drycleaning presses.
The system counts, monitors and displays production rates for each presser on an hourly basis and can print daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports.
The company said the system can save about 10 percent on labor expenses and about one hour on utility expenses every day. The system also gives a list of breaks your pressers take during the day.

Spin filter maintenance
PATERSON, NJ — Pariser Industries has announced a new product for spin disc filtration system maintenance called Spin Doctor.
Spin Doctor contains a blend of surfactants and anti-static agents with the ability to free and remove lint and particulate matter from spin disc filters more effectively than through the standard spinning processes.
The deep cleaning results achieved with Spin Doctor allow disc filters to work as they did when they were new. The product can improve solvent flow through the discs and maintain lower filter pressure, so drycleaners can obtain superior cleaning results through optimum filtration capacity. Additionally, by maintaining lower filter pressure, operators will increase the life of filters and system solvent pumps.
Spin Doctor can be used for heavy duty cleaning of spin filters and housings, and is recommended for general routine spin disc filter maintenance. It is compatible in perc and hydrocarbon systems.
Spin Doctor is packaged in half-gallon containers, four to a case.

Automatic garment bagging
OWINGS MILLS, MD — Auto Bagger is a new patent-pending garment bagging system that bags and seals customer orders automatically at the touch of a button.
Designed by its patent applicant, Mr. Young Han, Auto Bagger eliminates repetitive motions during the typical order bagging process, making employees’ work easier and improving production output.
Auto Bagger also can reduce supply inventory costs by using continuous feed poly. The employee simply puts the garment order in place and activates the start button. Auto Bagger automatically bags to size and seals the garment order in about five seconds while the employee continues other tasks.
Auto Bagger can be mounted in a fixed or optional portable manner, providing for bagging operations anywhere in the drycleaning shop. It is ideal for all sizes of drycleaning operations, shirt laundry wholesalers, and uniform and tuxedo outlets.
The unit plugs into a standard 110-volt electrical outlet and requires a 1Ž4-inch air supply connection.

Numbered poly bags
Champlain, NY — First Film Extruding, manufacturer of True Count™ Poly Bags in North America, developed the patented True Count™ technology to individually number plastic garment bags to insure ccount accuracy. The plastic garment bags each have a sequential number in the gusset warning of the bag to show exactly how many bags are on the roll of plastic. The bags open easily, tear easily at the perforation and are crystal clear. The company beleives it is important for drycleaners to know how many bags they receive on a roll of poly and to not be deceived by inaccurate labels.

Suede, leather renewal
TULSA, OK — Royaltone’s Suede Nu brings out the original deep rich color and imparts a soft lush feel to all suedes and naked leathers by nourishing the skins. It also serves as a carrying agent for Brit-N dyes. Suede Nu works for sheepskin, cowhide and pigskin suedes and naked leathers as well as trims on cloth since the over-spray will not discolor adjacent cloth fabric.
To use, place the suede or naked leather garment on a hanger and spray evenly and liberally using a hand sprayer from a distance of six inches to bring out the color and to impart a soft feel. To restore the brightness to faded suede or naked leather garments, add Brit-N dye to the Suede Nu and spray as above. After spraying suedes and naked leathers, allow to air dry or tumble in a cool tumbler. Royaltone tumbling blocks can be used to brush up the nap of the suede in the dryer. Finish on a form finisher. Nap can be brushed up with a Royaltone Suede Mitt. Press and brush to raise the suede nap. A Royaltone finishing brush can be used for this step.
Suede Nu may also be applied with a Royaltone Air Spray Gun Kit from a distance of approximately six inches using existing plant air.

Steam, hot water boilers
PERU, IN — A new brochure presents Bryan RV Series “Flexible Water Tube” steam and hot water boilers. The boilers are forced draft gas, oil and dual fuel fired and are available in eight standard sizes from 3.5 million to 8 million BTUH.
All models have at least five square feet of heating surface per boiler horsepower.
Bryan’s “Flexible Water Tube” design eliminates the possibility of damage from so-called “thermal shock.” Tubes are easily individually re-placeable without welding or rolling and there are never more than two tube configurations.
The combustion chamber, tubes and burner head are completely accessible from one side, simplifying maintenance and minimizing floor space; only 32 inches are required for tube removal.

The design uses minimal components and SAE O-ring fittings to eliminate leaks. Low power consumption is assured with online-offline and start-stop control with delay off timer. Electric motors are rugged TEFC for long life.
