RMFA plans its annual conference in Grand
Jct.
The Grand Vista Hotel in Grand Junction,
CO, will serve as the location for the Rocky Mountain
Fabricare Association’s annual
conference this year.
Set to take place from April 29 to May 1,
the event will feature everything from networking and education
to golf and wine tasting. The association will also announce
its selection for Drycleaner of the Year and Allied Trade
Member of the Year during the weekend, as well.
RMFA will usher in the conference with an
opening reception on Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m., followed
by an informal dinner at a local restaurant.
On Saturday morning, a continental
breakfast at 7 a.m. will be available for early risers or those
who wish to participate in the golf tournament at Adobe Creek
National Golf Course.
Registration for the event — which
will begin at 8 a.m. — costs $50 for RMFA members or
allied trades; $60 for non-members; and $50 for guests of
members and allied trades.
In an effort to keep the competition even
and interesting, the tournament will be comprised of
four-player teams which will include a mix of golf novices and
fanatics.
On Saturday afternoon, RMFA will host a
wine tasting at Two Rivers Winery from 3:30 to 6 p.m. The
winery has been processing grapes since 1999 and has released
nine wines in that time that have earned a total of 43 awards
in international competitions.
The day’s events will top off with
the association’s awards dinner from 7 to 10 p.m. which
will feature keynote speakers Bill Fisher, IFI’s CEO, and
Dave Silliman, IFI District 7 director.
From 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday morning,
attendees can enjoy a continental breakfast and an informative
panel discussion.
Room rates at the Grand Vista Hotel are
available at a secured discount of $59 per night for those who
call (800) 800-7796 and mention their affiliation with RMFA.
There is also a special registration rate
for those who sign up for the conference prior to April 15.
RMFA members and allied trades can register for $80 each plus
$60 for guests, while non-members must pay $110 each.
However, after April 15, the cost goes up
to $100 per RMFA or allied trade member plus $75 for each guest
