Using any drycleaning machine
uedes, leathers, furs and cloth combination items can be drycleaned in any drycleaning machine and with any drycleaning fluid as a result of the development of products like Royaltone’s Detergent Plus Conditioner.
The detergent plus conditioner chemically conditions the drycleaning fluid and thereby stabilizes the colors and natural oils in suede, leather, fur and cloth trimmed combinations.

Therefore, color loss, color bleeding, stiffening and hardening of the skins is virtually eliminated, making it possible to use any drycleaning machine configuration for cleaning suedes, leathers, furs and cloth combinations.
The technique used to dryclean suedes, leathers, furs and trimmed cloth items varies from one machine to another depending upon the specific drycleaning machine and its drycleaning fluid holding tank configuration, which can be a single tank or multiple tank, filtered system or batch system, single bath or two bath system.
One-tank machine
This machine has one tank to hold the drycleaning fluid which is used for all types of cleaning. Using a single tank machine configuration for cleaning suede, leather, fur or trimmed cloth items can be the least demanding or the most demanding of the operator, depending on which technique he chooses to use.
In a single tank machine, a charged system or a batch cleaning method may be used. If the batch cleaning method is selected for cleaning suedes leathers, furs and cloth combinations, the drycleaning fluid  that comes in contact with the leathers must be conditioned with the detergent conditioner to protect from color loss and stiffness before placing leathers in the machine. This method will require the highest level of the operator’s attention.
If the charge system is used, the drycleaning fluid in the single tank must be conditioned with the detergent conditioner to protect from color loss and stiffness before placing leathers in the machine. This method will be the least demanding of the operator’s attention.
For volume leather cleaning a prefilter should be installed on this machine.
Two-tank machine
This machine has two tanks to hold the drycleaning fluid that is used for all types of cleaning. If the two-tank machine is not used in a two bath system and one of the two tanks is available as a leather cleaning tank, this configuration is less demanding of the operator.
One of the two tanks can be used for drycleaning cloth and the drycleaning fluid in the second tank can then be conditioned with the detergent conditioner to protect from color loss and stiffness before placing leathers in the machine. It can then be used for cleaning suedes, leathers, furs and cloth combinations on a charge system.
For volume leather cleaning there should be a separate prefilter, filter and pump for this tank.
Three-tank machine
This drycleaning machine has three tanks. The three-tank configuration is even less demanding on the operator. With three tanks to hold the drycleaning fluid for all types of drycleaning, one tank can be used for cleaning cloth items on a charge system or two tanks can be used to dryclean cloth on a two bath injection system.
The third tank can then be conditioned with the detergent conditioner to protect from color loss and stiffness before placing leathers in the machine.
Then use the conditioned drycleaning fluid from this tank to dryclean all suedes, leathers, furs and trimmed cloth items.
For volume operations, a separate prefilter, filter and pump should be used with the leather cleaning tank.
Four or more tanks
This drycleaning machine has four or more tanks. This machine is least demanding on the operator. Cloth is usually cleaned in the first and second tanks in a two bath system.
If two additional tanks are available for leather cleaning, the drycleaning fluid in each tank should be conditioned with the detergent conditioner before placing leathers in the machine.
Then one tank can be used to dryclean light colored suedes and leathers, light textured hair furs and trimmed cloth combinations, and the other tank can be used for dark colored suedes and leathers, heavy textured hair furs and cloth combinations.
If only one additional tank is available for drycleaning leather, first add the detergent conditioner to the drycleaning fluid in the tank, then use it to dryclean all suedes, leathers, furs and trimmed cloth items. For volume operations, separate prefilters, filters and pumps should be used with each leather cleaning tank.
Two or more machines
If a separate drycleaning machine is available, it may be used to drycleaning suedes, leathers, furs and trimmed combination garments.
If it is a one tank machine, the charge system should be used and the drycleaning fluid in the single tank must be conditioned with the detergent conditioner to protect from color loss and stiffness before placing leathers in the machine.
For volume leather cleaning a prefilter should be installed on this machine to remove the suede lint that will come off during cleaning.
If the machine has two or more tanks. Then one tank can be used to dryclean light colored suedes and leathers, light textured hair furs and trimmed cloth combinations, and the other tank can be used for dark colored suedes and leathers, heavy textured hair furs and cloth combinations.
For volume operations separate prefilters, filters and pumps should be used with each leather cleaning tank.
