Weber, Great Central Make deal
Irving Weber Associates, Inc. has concluded negotiations with Great Central Insurance Co. of Peoria, IL, a subsidiary of Argonaut Group, Inc., to transfer its entire fabricare insurance program.

“We are very excited about our new partnership. It will provide great opportunity for Irving Weber Associates to provide even better and broader benefits to our fabricare clientele,” said Adam Weber, vice president of Irving Weber Associates.
The new relationship will strengthen the position of both IWA and Great Central as insurers to the fabric care industry throughout the United States, Weber said, adding that he expects the move will improve service and claims handling, while making IWA’s program more competitive.
“Moreover, IWA’s responsibility as the managing general agent will allow us the ability to apply our experience of the marketplace to the underwriting template provided by Great Central,” Weber said.

Satec, Fresenius announce joint venture

Satec USA, based in Port Monmouth, NJ, has announced a joint venture agreement with Fresenius Umwelttechnik GmbH of Germany. The two companies are joining to form a new company, FUT-Satec USA GmbH. The new company, located in Herten, Germany, will manufacture many industrial products including commercial drycleaning machines.
Satec USA is a hydrocarbon drycleaning machine manufacturer and distributor in North America. Fresenius Umwelttechnik GmbH originated in 1992 from the Institute Fresenius group, which was founded by Carl Remigius Fresenius in 1848. Over the more than 150 years of the company’s history, Fresenius has developed into a leading business group dealing with chemical, biological and physics-analysis and also provides consulting services. The Fresenius group employs over 50,000 people in Germany and around the world.

Multimatic in joint venture with H&H
Ron Velli, president of Multimatic of Northvale, NJ, announced the signing of a national joint venture marketing agreement with H&H Midwest Distribution of Lake in the Hills, IL.

Hurd, president of H&H Midwest Distribution, said the agreement “allows for the distribution of Multimatic products by H&H in the Midwest territory while giving me the opportunity to build sales for Multimatic nationwide.
