Programs emphasizing better communication
set in Texas
Though customers are the lifeline of
every business, there are times when dealing with difficult
ones doesn’t seem worth the hassle. However, just as a
plant owner can go to school to improve his or her cleaning
skills, so, too, can they work to make their people skills
better, and thus, handle difficult customers a little bit
easier.
The National Seminars Group will be
holding several upcoming programs on the subject in the coming
months in the Lone Star state.
The company, which annually provides over
7,000 seminars and conferences in the United States and Canada,
has been around for over 20 years, helping more than 10 million
professionals become more knowledgeable in their chosen field.
Cleaners who want to improve their people
skills can participate in the group’s “Handling
Difficult and Demanding Customers: A Communication
Course” seminar. One session will take place on
Wednesday, July 6 in Austin, Texas at Omni Southpark, 4140
Governor’s Row; another will be held at the Holiday Inn
Emerald Beach in Corpus Christi, Texas on Wednesday, August 10.
Both programs will emphasize how to
effectively respond to all types of difficult customers through
the use of proactive service techniques.
Those who attend will be able to
recognize and respond in the right manner to the different
behavior patterns and situations of the customer.
Each program will begin with registration
at 8:30 a.m. and will run from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The cost is
$169 per person.
Of course, communicating with customers
is only half of the battle. You also have to establish a
rapport with your employees.
The secret to being able to do that is to
master the details of communication, so National Seminars Group
is also offering a program entitled “Strengthening Your
People Skills in the Workplace.” It will benefit
employees and employers alike.
“Strengthening Your People Skills
in the Workplace” is an intensive workshop that provides
attendees with a way to gain the essential people skills needed
to do some of the following things: influence others to your
way of thinking; build immediate rapport with people; handle
difficult people more effectively with less stress; gain
enthusiasm for your ideas; and deal confidently with conflict
confrontation and disagreements.
The seminar is scheduled to take place on
Tuesday, July 26 at the Holiday Inn Select located at 11350 LBJ
Freeway at Jupiter in Dallas, Texas.
Cleaners in the Houston area can attend
another one on Thursday, July 28 at the Marriott West Loop at
1750 W. Loop South.
The same seminar is also planned for
Friday, July 29 in El Paso, Texas at the Holiday Inn Sunland
Park at 900 Sunland Park Dr.
Each program will run from 9 a.m. until 4
p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.The cost to attend
is $179 per person.
In addition to those seminars, National
Seminar Group also offers programs on a variety of other
topics, such as: “Workplace Safety & OSHA
Compliance,” “Management & Leadership Skills
for First-Time Supervisors & Managers,” and
“Time Management & Organization Skills for
Professionals,” among others.
