Customer service seminars in Baton Rouge, Little Rock
With the aid of IFI Instructor Lorraine Muir, the Southwest Drycleaners Association will be presenting two customer service seminars in the near future.
The first one will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 in Baton Rouge, LA; another will be held in Little Rock, AR, on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The Baton Rouge seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the AmeriSuites Hotel located at 6080 Bluebonnet.
The seminar is well-suited for cleaners who are tired of angry or dissatisfied customers blaming them for problems that were not a by-product of the cleaning process, but instead, should have been caught initially at the front counter and properly explained.
Muir will help cleaners improve their plant’s customer service by offering techniques that will help them improve their quality of service, customer retention and satisfaction.
Topics to be covered will include: behaviors that drive customers away; building trust, integrity and value; points you should remember when working with your customer; telephone skills; identifying garments with particular problems; and working with challenging customers.
Fees for the class are: $99 for IFI/SDA members and $89 for each additional member. Non-members must pay $129 each in order to attend.
The cost includes lunch and materials.
To register, call (800) 638-2627, ext. 1603 or fill out an application available online at www.sda-dryclean.com and mail it to: IFI Education Dept., 14700 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD 20707.

More details on the customer service seminar in Little Rock on October 8 will be available soon.
