SYRACUSE, NY — Thermopatch has developed an ink that works specifically with its HiQ thermal labels in multiple types of laundering. Previously different washes required different ink; now one HiQ thermal ink can be used for drycleaning, shirt laundry and industrial wash.

Thermopatch said the new ink eases ordering and removes confusion as to which type of ink to use. The company has a trial program that lets users try the system before buying.

Thermopatch provides textile/garment identification, marking equipment, heat-seal machines, mending products along with a variety of supporting supplies, to the laundry industry and garment and textile manufacturers worldwide.

TULSA, OK — Royaltone Company Inc. has announced Ultratone Detergent Plus Conditioner with Odor Terminator that can be used in all drycleaning fluids. Ultratone contains a special detergent complex, an odor neutralizer, a sizing, a brightener, an antistatic, a conditioner and a softener.

While eliminating bad odors, Ultratone also stabilizes colors and prevents color loss in designer jeans, denims, corduroys, velvets, surface prints, silks and sleeping bags. It also eliminates swales on silks and eliminates blotches on down filled items. Ultratone also reduces wrinkling in all fabrics for easier less costly pressing, and gives long life to all types of filters. It can be used as a charge detergent in charge systems or it can be injected in injection systems.

UNION CITY, IN — Workhorse Custom Chassis has started production of its first diesel chassis with an International diesel engine. This follows International’s purchase of Workhorse last summer and makes Workhorse is the only manufacturer that provides both gas and diesel chassis for walk-in trucks.

The new W42 Workhorse chassis uses the International VT275 4.5L diesel V6 engine with 200 horsepower and 440-lb.-ft. of torque. The engine has a 250,000-mile lifecycle design and also simplifies routine maintenance with mechanic-friendly features such as easily accessible cartridge-style fuel and oil filters.

The VT 275’s dual staged turbocharging system uses a small turbo for quick, low-speed responsiveness and a second, larger turbo for power at higher rpms. The International Electro-Hydraulic generation Two (G2) fuel injection system delivers higher injection pressures with precise control, which enhances performance, fuel economy and emissions control.

The company said that the merging of this engine’s advanced technology with the features of the new chassis reflects the expanded capabilities of the new International-Workhorse relationship.
