The Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA) honored three members on the anniversary of their 25th consecutive year of membership in the association at its recent annual conference in Bonita Springs, FL.
CTS Packaging, Inc. of Covington, KY, with over 50 years of service, is a full-line folding carton manufacturer with capabilities in design, offset printing, die cutting, folding and gluing boxes.
Intex Distributing of Austin, TX, founded in 1980 by Gerald Henke, is a full-line distributor of laundry and drycleaning supplies with warehouses in Austin and Arlington, TX.
Dalex Canada of Concord, ON, established in 1952, is a second-generation, privately-owned Canadian company that supplies equipment and services to the fabric care and laundry industry.
In recognizing these members, TCATA President Bill Odorizzi noted that “It is an accomplishment for a company to stay in business for 25 years, much less remain committed to the association that long. For that, we are most appreciative.”

Schulte receives scholarship
Danielle Schulte of Cicero, IL, was selected as the 2006 recipient of the Textile Care Allied Trades Association’s (TCATA) Dean Allen Education Fund. She will receive $1,000 annually for each of her four years of college.
Ranked fourth in a senior class of nearly 200, Schulte was an Illinois State scholar and a member of the National Honor Society. She has participated in many non-academic activities, including writing for the school paper and as a member of the softball team. She has also volunteered her time for the Catholic Charities of Chicago and worked as a tutor for elementary and high school students.
Schulte, the daughter of James Schulte of R. R. Street & Co., Naperville, IL, has been accepted into the honors program at DePaul University.
Employees and the children of employees of companies who are members of TCATA are eligible for this scholarship.
“Danielle Schulte is eminently qualified to receive the Dean Allen Scholarship, and all of us at TCATA are pleased to be of assistance as she pursues her academic goals,” said Alex Atwater, TCATA president.
