NEFA lays plans for Bradley Friel Memorial golf tournament
Those who want to tee off this August for the North East Fabricare Association’s annual golf tournament have until Thursday, Aug. 17 to call and sign up.
The annual Bradley Friel Memorial golf tournament will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at the Sandy Burr Country Club, which is located at 103 Cochituate Rd. in Wayland, MA.
The tournament is named in honor of a former NEFA president who passed away two years ago.
The tournament format will once again be a scramble. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. There will also be a “Tour of Italy” dinner and cocktails following the day’s round of golf at 3 p.m.
Renowned architect Donald Ross designed the 18-hole championship golf course, which is 6,550 yards in length and is punctuated by sand traps and three water hazards.
NEFA will offer prizes this year, including a 50/50 raffle which gave one lucky winner over $400 last time out.
Golf packages may be reserved at a cost of $125 per person, which includes the cost of golf, as well as lunch and dinner. Non-golfers who wish to join in on the dinner can register at a cost of $35 per person.
Companies that are insterested in sponsoring a tee can do so for $200 per hole. The cost for a combination tee and golf package is $275.
Registration forms are available online at NEFA’s web site, www.nefabricare.com. Simply click on the “golf tournament” link from the home page and print out the form.
Once completed, it can be mailed to North East Fabricare Association (NEFA), 580 Main Street, Reading, MA, 01867, or faxed to (781) 942-7393.
Cleaners can also call the association’s office at (800) 442-6848 to register.
