Machine runs solvents interchangeably
NORTHVALE, NJ — Hydrocarbons, silicone-based solvents, glycol-based solvents and other alternative solvents can be run interchangeably in the new Multimatic MultiStar drycleaning machines. This flexibility allows the operator to switch from one alternative solvent to any of the others to take advantage of changing market conditions and other variables.

Designed for use with environmentally friendly solvents, Multimatic MultiStar machines are suited for use wherever there are community concerns for ecological safety.
Many new engineering features have been incorporated into Multimatic MultiStar machines. A variable speed motor with frequency inverter drive permits operation at the optimum speed for the fabrics being processed so delicate fabrics can be handled safely.
Also new is the Multimatic Rapid Dry system that cuts drying time for fast total machine cycling.
The oversized water separator of Multimatic MultiStar machines has a unique design that makes it exceptionally easy-to-clean. Located behind the front panel of the machine, it has large dual sight glasses for visual inspections and simplified maintenance. Sight glasses can also be found on the still and other critical locations.
Tank-to-tank transfer of solvent is easy with Multimatic’s exclusive “tank sweep” system that helps prevent solvent contamination in the base tanks.
An in-line pump and solvent pump strainer also helps keep impurities out of the system. These features, along with spin disc and large capacity cartridge filters, help maintain solvent purity for highest quality cleaning results.
The MultiComp III computer control constantly monitors every safety factor while providing graphic flow control that shows what is happening during every step of machine operation.
An easy-to-read message center shows the program in use and the specific machine function. The operator can choose from the factory pre-set programs or create programs he installs. A manual override control allows full manual operation.
The machines are now available in 40-, 50-, 70- and 95-pound capacities. The piping, tanks, basket and basket housing are all made from high quality stainless steel to assure long life.

Suede renewal
TULSA, OK — Royaltone’s Suede Nu brings out the original deep, rich color and imparts a soft lush feel to all suedes and naked leathers by nourishing the skins. It also serves as a carrying agent for Brit-N Dyes.
Suede Nu can be used on sheepskin, cowhide and pigskin suedes and naked leathers as well as trims on cloth since over spray will not discolor the adjacent cloth fabric.
The suede or naked leather garment is placed on a hanger and sprayed evenly and liberally using a hand sprayer from a distance of six inches.
To restore brightness to faded suede or naked leather garments, add Brit-N Dye to the Suede Nu and spray as above.

Spray on stain removal
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Laidlaw Company, LLC has acquired the exclusive rights  in the cleaning industry to Pull Out Premium VOC.
Pull Out Premium VOC pulls the stain out of the fabric simply by spraying it on the grease or oil stain.
It can be used as a post spotter or to remove circles and rings left in fabrics after the primary stain has been removed. There is no need to re-clean the garment.

Oily-type paint remover
NAPERVILLE, IL — R. R. Street & Co. has announced that a version of Pyratex, an oily type stain removal agent, is now available in a high flash-point, low-odor formula: Pyratex NuTec.
The classic Pyratex continues to be available. Pyratex NuTec does not lower the flash-point of cleaning solvent, so it’s ideal for use with petroleum and high-flash hydrocarbon technologies, such as DF2000, but it can also be used with perchloroethylene or traditional petroleum solvent.
Street’s said that Pyratex NuTec flushes easily and completely with Picrin, in perc systems, or DF2000, high-flash hydrocarbon systems, making stain removal easier while reducing the probability of spotting rings.
The company added that Pyratex NuTec has been formulated with low-odor and odorless components and is gentle on textile dyes without sacrificing stain removal performance.
Pyratex NuTec contains virtually no moisture. Even the smallest amount of moisture in stain removers or drycleaning systems can spread water-soluble cosmetic dyes, making them difficult to remove. Street’s said that Pyratex NuTec safely suspends these dyes so they can be flushed away before dye can spread.
Pyratex NuTec comes in plastic one-gallon containers, six to a case; a free, OSHA-labeled, 12-ounce spotting bottle is available.
