Gershater named VP at DCCS

Dry Cleaning Computer Systems (DCCS) has named Lenny Gershater as vice president of sales.
Gershater, who has been with DCCS since 1985, was formerly eastern regional sales manger. In his new position, he will coordinate product and sales efforts for the company on a national level. In addition, he will collaborate on the development of company marketing strategies and implementation of advertising campaigns.
According to Gershater, the key components of his new role will be to maximize the strengths of DCCS in the marketplace, to continue achieving company goals through building solid relationships with DCCS customers and industry alliances and to promote DCCS products that meet the changing and demanding needs of the Industry.
DCCS also announced the appointment of Bobby Schwartz as western regional sales manager.
Schwartz brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new position along with knowledge in plant operations and workflow processes. He will continue the management of sales activities and cultivation of DCCS relationships in the western part of the United States.

Herson to represent allied trades with MAC
Ron Herson, owner of Herson Supply, has been appointed at-large allied trades representative for the MidAtlantic Association of Cleaners. He takes over from Jeff Goldstein, formerly associated with Amato Industries.
“Ron is a strong voice within MidAtlantic Committees, having served most recently on Affiliate Matters and Enhanced Services,” said Charles Smith, president of MAC. “He’s well-versed and up-to-date in association responsibilities and activities. He is a valued asset in the governance of MidAtlantic.”
Herson will act as the touchstone for bringing suggestions and allied trade viewpoints to the Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors and its various committees. His daily interaction with IFI/MidAtlantic professionals in the conduct of his business also brings a depth of understanding.

CRDN names Krakoviak regional manager
John Krakoviak has been named southeast regional manager for the Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network (CRDN), an international organization of textile restoration specialists serving the insurance industry.
In his new position, Krakoviak is responsible for interacting with insurance carriers throughout eight southeastern states and he will act as a part of a concentrated effort to enhance and expand strategic relationships for CRDN. He brings 15 years of in-depth experience as a sales and marketing professional throughout the insurance industry.
Prior to joining CRDN, Krakoviak worked as a regional sales director for MES Solutions in Norcross, GA, where he handled new business development and account management for the insurance industry. Krakoviak also spent six years as sales director at MEDNET, Independent Medical Strategists, in Atlanta.  His other insurance experience includes claims adjustment and evaluation.
