Now there are two complete drycleaning textbooks. The second one is titled Agenda Maestra Del Tintorero, a Spanish language version of the textbook which is now available due to many industry requests since the workforce is gaining more Spanish-speaking workers. The Spanish version is also a complete technical and practical drycleaning, spotting and wetcleaning textbook.
Both books are easy to understand and are full of practical operating tips for all textile cleaners. Either book is essential for increasing productivity, efficiency and professionalism for cleaners.

Multi-use cleaning machine
HAPEVILLE, GA — Union Drycleaning Products, USA has unveiled a new model, the Ideal I-40. This machine features two separate washing circuits, one for wetcleaning and one for drycleaning.
The operator chooses which cycle to use — wetcleaning or drycleaning. When choosing to wetclean, the machine provides the precise washing and drying settings.
As a wetcleaning machine, it can be operated with a specialized humidity control or used as a normal laundry washer/dryer, offering the vigorous washing action required for processing laundry.
When choosing drycleaning, the system works as a closed loop machine with either high-flash hydrocarbon GreenEarth or other alternative solvents to process garments.
The I-40 is currently available to process loads in a 40-lb. capacity. The new I-40 model is affordably priced and offers operators features to increase productivity while maintaining its inexpensive cost.

Fuzz and lint remover
CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH — Quality Specialty Products, which recently acquired the manufacturing rights, equipment and remaining inventory of Fuzz-Go and other related assets of Practical Products, has re-introduced “Fuzz-Go” bars for removing lint, pilling and fuzz from garments and various textiles.
Originally created and marketed by Max Zimmerman as Ze-Go in the mid 1950s, the rights were sold in the early 1990s. Now under Quality Specialty Products, the manufacturing process is currently underway and products are in stock. An area agency that employs physically and mentally handicapped individuals is under contract to inspect and package Fuzz-Go.
QSP sells only to distributors; all retail inquiries will be referred to the nearest distributor.

Soil release additive
TULSA, OK — Royaltone’s Soil Go Soil Release is a concentrated batch additive that eliminates prespotting, spraying, harsh brushing and costly reruns on heavily soiled and stained items in drycleaning with no prespotting or spraying.
Soil Go removes heavy soil and ring type spots and stains in the drycleaning wheel the first time the garments are cleaned and works with any detergent system in any drycleaning fluid.
The company said that Soil Go will not build up and has no undesirable side effects, adding that it is color safe and swale-free for all cloth, suede and leather garments. Its anti-static action suppresses static electric shock and linting.
Soil Go Soil Release is added to the drycleaning wheel full strength as a batch additive. It helps control moisture for brighter whites, rayons, linens, cottons and heavily soiled trench coats.
It is compatible with both charge and injection detergents. One ounce is added to the cleaning wheel for each ten pounds items to be cleaned. For best results, it should be added at the start of the cycle and run on batch for three to eight minutes before running on filter.
