WFI offering discounts for convention registration
Cleaners still have time to capitalize on special registration rates for the
Wisconsin Fabricare Institute
’s annual convention, scheduled to take place from Feb. 23-25 at the Radisson
Paper Valley hotel in Appleton, WI.
Association members who sign up prior to Feb. 16 pay only $150 for all events,
which includes the Friday evening dinner and hospitality, breakfasts on
Saturday and Sunday, the Saturday banquet and hospitality, admission to the
table top displays, all business sessions and more.
After Feb. 16, the cost for the same package rises by $20 overall.
Attendees may also register for individual events. A package for the Friday
evening dinner and hospitality costs $35; the Saturday evening banquet
& hospitality costs $45.
Those who want to attend the Saturday breakfast, business sessions, breaks, and
lunch must pay $45 and the cost for the Sunday continental breakfast, breaks,
business sessions and brunch is $40.
Each individual registration packages goes up $5 after Feb. 16.
The weekend’s busy schedule will include certification tests on Friday between 3 and 5 p.m.
On-site registration begins an hour later.
The evening will conclude with a reception and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.,
followed by a hospitality.
On Saturday, the general business sessions will begin at 9 a.m and run for about
two-and-a-half hours.
At 11:30 a.m., participants can enjoy lunch with the allied trades in the Vince
Lombardi Steakhouse.
Afterward, there will be tabletop trade displays open to the public from 1:30 to
3 p.m. Desserts, coffee and soft drinks will be served.
From 3 to 6 p.m., WFI will present a “Starch Madness” live auction where there will be a cash bar with complimentary beer and soft
drinks, as well as light snacks.
Rounding out the evening will be a 7 p.m. Academy Awards evening banquet dinner
where attendees are encouraged to dress for the
“red carpet” or like their favorite movie star.
Following dinner, WFI will present the Five Star Awards and announce its new
Hall of Fame inductees. The association will also reveal the winner of the
Fitzgerald Scholarship drawing.
On Sunday, general business sessions will resume from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. There
will also be a closing brunch at noon.
The Radisson Paper Valley, located at 333 W. College Ave. in Appleton, will set
aside a block of rooms for convention-goers for the nights of Friday, Feb. 23
and Saturday, Feb. 24.
Special rates are available at $89 per night for single or double occupancy and
$99 per night for triple or quad occupancy.

The Paper Valley has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, recreation center,
sauna, fitness center and complimentary internet kiosks.
