Golomb Group heads to Vegas for “ultimate” route program
One root of success in the drycleaning industry is the pickup and delivery
route.
This summer, the Golomb Group plans to host the “Ultimate Route Seminar” in order to help cleaners expand their revenue sources and become more
profitable.
The program will be held at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, located at 3720
Howard Hughes Parkway
— only two minutes away from the Las Vegas Convention Center, site of this year’s Clean Show.
The seminar will also be held just before the start of Clean ’07 on Saturday, June 9. It will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m.
During that time, attendees will learn how to develop pickup and delivery routes
that have the potential to be worth millions annually.
The program is suited for novices interested in starting routes in their
drycleaning business, as well as cleaners who already have some knowledge of
running routes who wish to learn new techniques on expanding them.
Headlining the guest speaker list is route consultant and National Clothesline
columnist James Peuster.
Formerly of Biz Builders in Kansas City, MO, Peuster has mastered the art of
persuasion and knows several easy ways to sell to new customers, as well as
building up volume with existing customers.
He will be joined by Jason Loeb, owner of Sudsies.com in Miami Beach, FL.
Loeb is a master marketer, using a slick brand and promotion campaign to help
build his cleaning business up into a highly successful operation with 13
routes and millions of dollars in sales annually.
During the seminar, he will divulge some of his secrets about how to select the
right people to run your routes, and the best way to compensate them
financially.
Attendees will also learn how to achieve a competitive advantage in their
markets, how to improve customer loyalty and retention, and how to get their
customers to refer their business to everybody they know.
Registration costs $345 per person for the Saturday seminar. For an additional
$199, attendees can take advantage of more personal training on Sunday, June
10, from 8 a.m. until noon.
Call (800) 833-0560, fax (630) 971-3232, or send mail to: The Golomb Group, 816
Shannon Lake, Westmont, IL, 60559.
CCA hosts June 2nd seminar in Los Angeles
Because counter personnel are the ambassadors to your customers in your cleaning
plant, it is imperative that they have a solid understanding of customer
service techniques and proper care label knowledge.
On Saturday, June 2, the California Cleaners Association will host a seminar on
both subjects at Perfect Cleaners, located at 8550 W. Third in Los Angeles, CA.
The program, which will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. will be taught by
instructor Doris Easley.
She will cover a variety of topics, including: care label terms and symbols — what they are and what they mean; how to classify garments prior to processing;
how to process garments that have no labels; examples of illegal care labels;
and what to do when following a care label results in garment damage.
The cost is $75 for CCA members and $125 per non-member.
For more information or to register, call CCA at (916) 239-4070 or visit
