SEFA enlists Allsbrooks to lead customer service seminars
When customers pick up or drop off clothes at your cleaning plant, the customer service representative is often the first and last person they see.
That transaction is often what people judge a cleaners by. Great customer service can instill loyalty in a customer, but a poor experience may mean that customer never walks through your front door again.
So much of a plant’s success depends on the skills of the front counter personnel, so it is never a bad idea to offer your employees a “tune up”. Fortunately, the South Eastern Fabricare Association will be hosting three seminars on the topic in July.
The association has tapped IFI Garment Analyst Chris Allsbrooks as its speaker — an appropriate choice since Allsbrooks’ own sunny disposition and wealth of knowledge has created several loyal attendees at her speaking engagements.
Like a good customer service representative, she knows how to keep attendees coming back to her seminars time and time again.
She will discuss a variety of customer service-related topics, including the behaviors that drive customers away and how to improve communications skills.
Customer expectations, identifying potential cleaning problems and how to work with challenging or cranky customers will also be on the agenda.
The seminar is ideally suited for owners, managers, customers service representatives and assembly and inspection personnel.
The first seminar is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 17 in Jacksonville, FL. It will be at the Holiday Inn at 9150 Baymeadows Rd. For more information, call (904) 737-1700.
The next day, Allsbrooks will head to a Holiday Inn in Altamonte located at Orlando North 20 W SR 436. Details of that seminar can be obtained by calling (407) 862-4455.
The last outing will be on Thursday, July 19 in Ft. Lauderdale. It will be held at the Lago Mar Resort and Club at 1700 South Ocean Lane. Call (954) 523-6511 for details.
All three seminars will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. The registration cost to attend is only $10 for SEFA/IFI members.
Sign up by phone at (877) 707-7332 or by fax at (912) 355-3155. Cleaners can also sign up online by visiting SEFA ’s web site at www.sefa.org.
