Industry growth highlights Texcare Asia
Texcare Asia 2007, which takes place Sept. 19-21, will be bigger than the 2005 show due to increasing demand for products within the laundry and drycleaning industry in China.
The show will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.
Texcare Asia showcases products and services including laundry, ironing, drycleaning, dyeing machinery and agents, equipment, textiles and accessories for rental services, environmental protection and recycling apparatus and laundry and drycleaning plant construction methods.
Programs featuring product presentations and the Professional Textile Care Academy will take place during the show.
Organized by CINET, the International Committee of Textile Care, Messe Frankfurt, and the China National Light Industrial Machinery Corporation, the Professional Textile Care Academy will allow Chinese attendees to gather valuable practical guidelines and solutions and learn about technical developments from their European counterparts.
“The objectives of the Professional Textile Care Academy are to create a communication platform, and to match businesses for future partnerships, ” said Jason Cao, deputy general manager of Messe Frankfurt in Shanghai.
Professionals and experts from the textile care industry, as well as government officials, will meet to establish business contacts and exchange trade information, he said.
The PTCA will be comprised of two main parts: a two-day workshop with seminars and discussion sessions; and an evening etworking event where textile care industry practitioners can meet, socialize and exchange information about the industry.
The challenge facing the Chinese textile care industry is to meet the rapidly growing demand from the hospitality and healthcare sectors. The PTCA will address key issues, supporting the growth professionalism of the Chinese textile care industry. Topics will include business practices, market trends and developments, new technologies, quality certification and standards and environmental issues, presented by experts from leading European companies and institutes.
The first day will focus on the textile rental and service market; the second day will focus on consumer applications and financial issues. The content will be tailored for an audience of in-house laundry operators, laundry managers and personnel, housekeepers, and commercial laundry and drycleaning operators. All attendees will receive a unique PTCA certificate on both days.
At the end of the first day of seminars, a cocktail reception and dinner banquet will provide the backdrop for the PTCA conference and networking event. The evening activities will include presentations by exhibitors and personal introductions to potential business partners, supported by PTCA personnel and facilitated by a pre-show business-matching procedure.
