Korean association planning third trade show in Atlanta
According to statistics compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau, the Atlanta metro
area gained 890,000 residents between April 1, 2000, and July 1, 2006.
The jump in population was the largest numerical gain of the nation’s 361 metro areas, making a case for labeling Atlanta as currently one of the
fastest growing cities in the country.
With those figures in mind, the Federation of Korean Drycleaners Association has
opted to hold its third annual Cleaners
& Launderers Expo (CLEXPO) at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, GA.
The event will take place from Feb. 22-24, 2008.
During the weekend, attendees can take advantage of hundreds of exhibitors
showcasing new and interesting products and services
— all under one roof.
Previously, FKDA held its inaugural show at the New Jersey Convention and
Exposition Center. The associaton also organized a trade show in Anaheim, CA,
in March.
Currently, FKDA is selling exhibit space at the following rates: $1,499 for one
booth (10' x 10' in size), or four booths (400 square feet altogether) at
$5,900. Corner booths are $1,299 each, and aisle booths cost $1,199 each or
$11,770 for ten booths that take up 1,000 sq. ft. overall.
Exhibitors will be able to move in between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb.
21, and between 8 and 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.

Those who plan to attend the show should keep watch for pre-registration forms
in the near future. Cleaners who sign up early will receive three days of free
access to the exhibit hall, as well as free admission to all of the educational
seminars that will be announced at a later date.
FKDA was established in 1984 as non-profit organization representing 30,000
Korean-American drycleaners throughout the United States. It has 33 local
branches in the U.S. and Canada.
2-day show at Tri-State this month
When it comes to purchasing expensive and vital drycleaning equipment for your
plant, live demonstrations are always a good way to help make the decision
process a little easier.
Regional cleaners will have an opportunity to do that on the weekend of Sept. 29
and 30 when Tri-State Laundry Equipment Company hosts a live drycleaning and
laundry equipment show.
Factory representatives will be on hand to conduct the demonstrations.
The event will be held at the company’s 55,000-sq.-ft. facilities located at 1031 E. Mountain St., Building 315, in
Kernersville, NC.
The program will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning and run until 6 p.m. It
will resume on the following day from noon to 5 p.m. There will be a live
auction of used drycleaning and coin laundry equipment on Sunday at 3 p.m.
