PDCA enlists Allsbrooks to head two October seminars in PA
Armed with a sharp mind and a lively personality, DLI/IFI Garment Analyst Chris Allsbrooks has long been a favorite on the industry ’s seminar circuit.
This October, she will bring her years of experience and a good sense of humor to two sessions hosted by the Pennsylvania and Delaware Cleaners Association and co-sponsors M & L Supply and Cleaners Products South.
Allsbrooks, an affiliate member of the FabriCare Foundation Board of Trustees, has worked at DLI/IFI ’s International Textile Analysis Laboratory since 1992.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising and textile marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as two professional cleaning certifications: Certified Professional Drycleaner (CPD) and Certified Professional Wetcleaner (CPW).
Her first  seminar will be held on Oct. 9 at the Hampton Inn, Greentree. On the following evening, she will be at the Quality Inn in Stroudsburg, conveniently located between Allentown/Bethlehem and Wilkes Barre/Scranton. Both seminars will start at 7 p.m.
The popular presenter will be discussing how to improve customer service and ways to recognize and handle problem garments.
In an effort to ensure that customer service employees and other staff members can come to the seminars, PDCA has adjusted the cost to make it more affordable for multiple registration.
The member cost for one person is $35. However, for two from the same plant, the cost drops to $25 each, and for three or more from the same plant, registration is only $20 each.
For non-members, the cost will be $45, with no group reductions.
