Short-sleeved polo shirts, long-sleeved blouses, lab coats and other clothing can be automatically pressed with the DF-550U. With features like automatic sleeve tensioning and automatic cuff clamp angling capability, the DF-550U offers precision finishing of nearly every aspect of each garment. In addition, the DF-550U’s blower mechanism provides gentle finishing and eliminates the potential for damage to fabric or buttons.
The company said that the DF-550U is easy to operate and exceptionally efficient and that operators can complete up to 60 garments per hour.
Other features of the DF-550U, all of which are adjustable, include automatic long/short sleeve positioning, three pre-set timer settings and blower strength.
Sankosha offers a range of high quality, reliable and user-friendly shirt and garment finishing presses, and bagging machines.

Hard-mount washer-extractors
OSHKOSH, WI — Continental Girbau has unveiled the new M-Series hard-mount line of washer-extractors, available in 25-, 40-, and 55-pound capacities.
The M-Series Washers deliver improved energy-efficiency and higher G-force extract speeds than many hard-mount washers on the market.

M-Series Washers are built using the same manufacturing platform as Continental’s high-performance E-Series Washers and share many of the same components, including the control systems to help save gas, water and electricity.
With the machines’ programmability, laundries can properly clean a variety of fabrics including silk, Nomex, Gortex, suede, wool, linen and denim.
The M-Series hard-mount washer is designed to occupy less space than other hard mount washers. The 25-pound capacity model occupies 25 percent less space than comparable hard-mount washers; the footprint of the 40-pound model is 20 percent smaller than other hard mounts with similar basket capacity; and the 55-pound is five percent smaller than the typical 50-pound capacity machine.
M-Series Washers are programmable to reach standard maximum extract speeds between 108 and 141 G-force. The higher higher extract speeds mean laundry can be processed more quickly to save time and labor.
The flexible Logic (Logi) Control offers eight individually modifiable programs, each with up to nine baths including multiple pre-wash, wash and rinse cycles. Variables within each bath, including wash temperature, water levels, cycle times, rotation and G-force extract speeds, can be individually programmed for maximum efficiency given the load type.
The washers offer automatic chemical injection via four external chemical injection signals. Other features are geared toward providing optimum temperature and dosing management for the best fabric care.
Chemicals are always diluted in a collector and introduced into the load below water level to avoid direct contact with the linen. The AquaMixer system combines hot and cold water to obtain precise bath temperatures.
The washers are designed without a sump, a water containment area at the base of the washer, that saves up to three gallons of water with each fill when compared to machines with an outer tub sump. This reduces water usage and water heating costs.
M-Series also feature AquaFall which releases water into the drum through holes in the drum lifters for better load saturation, chemical penetration and rinsing.
As with all Continental products, M-Series washers feature inner and outer drums made of AISI-304 stainless steel, oversized bearings and a quality sealing system. The machine components are engineered to use as few welds as possible. The ergonomically designed oversized door permits laundry to be loaded and unloaded with minimal effort.

Wedding gown cleaning
TULSA, OK —  Royaltone’s Silk Magic and Soil Go can help avoid scrubbing white wedding gown dress hems on the spotting board.
First, the entire hem and other problem areas are sprayed thoroughly with Silk Magic prespotter and allowed to dry until slightly damp. Then, four to five ounces of Soil Go are added to the wheel of the drycleaning machine per wedding gown. The gown or gowns are batch cleaned for three to four minutes, then they are drycleaned for about five minutes in a normal cycle.
Batch cleaning is automatic for the first bath of a two-bath drycleaning system, and can be accomplished on other machines by filling the wheel to a low level, turning off the pump and cleaning for three to eight minutes with the dump valve closed.
Silk Magic is a formulation for prespotting any wedding gown, including those made of silk, rayon and other problem water-sensitive fabrics such as taffeta and organdy as well as linen, cotton, ramie and wool. It comes ready to use without mixing.
Silk Magic removes hemline dirt, water rings, raindrops, perspiration rings, streaks, swales, blotches and soil on wedding gowns. It is compatible with perc, petroleum and DF 2000, all drycleaning detergents, all spotting chemicals and all drycleaning machines and filters.
Soil Go, a concentrated batch additive, can be used in the first bath of a two-bath drycleaning system to eliminate harsh brushing and costly reruns. It controls moisture for brighter whites, rayons, linens, cottons.
Compatible with both charge and injection detergents, Soil Go is color safe and swale-free and has anti-static action for the suppression of static electric shock. Injected or added manually to the drycleaning wheel full strength, it works with any detergent system and in any drycleaning fluid.
