Texcare International 2008 will take place at the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition
Centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from May 31 to June 4. More than 200
companies are registered as exhibitors and about 13,000 visitors are expected
to attend.
The trade show’s 19,500 square meters of exhibition space represents a ten percent increase
over Texcare 2004, mainly due to larger stands from leading exhibitors, show
organizers said.
In conjunction with the exhibition will be the Texcare Forum, a lecture program
organized under the auspices of CINET, the International Committee of Textile
Care. Other cooperation partners in the forum include the Garment and Leather
Technology Association of the Association of German Machine and Plant
Manufacturers, the German Textile Dry Cleaning Association, the Textile Service
Industrial Association, Wfk Research Institute for Dry Cleaning Technology. and
the Hohenstein Institutes.
“Challenges in a Global Textile Care and Service Market” is the theme for the forum which will have the aim of better understanding the
needs of customers and acting accordingly along the entire supply chain.
To meet the needs of the different target groups — drycleaning and textile service companies — the forum will be split into two blocks. Topics on Saturday, May 31, and
Sunday, June 1, will be aimed at small to medium-sized drycleaning companies,
focusing on marketing questions on Saturday and on new technologies,
environmental issues and new textile materials on Sunday.
Monday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 3, will be devoted to textile rental and
service companies and laundries. Monday afternoon will focus on sustainable
processing technologies, quality issues and new textile materials relating to
laundries. Tuesday will deal with market and marketing issues.
Participation in Texcare Forum is free of charge for exhibitors and registered
visitors.
