SEFA lays out schedule for Savannah Show
The event will be held from July 25 to 27 at the Savannah International Trade
and Convention Center.
It will feature aisles and aisles of all the latest and greatest drycleaning
technology, products and services, as well as several educational sessions led
by well known industry speakers including Chris Allsbrooks, Martin Young,
Kenney Slatten and Jim Goulet.
SEFA has set aside several hours for seminars throughout the weekend. The
association will also open the doors to the exhibit hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
The social events will kick off on Friday evening with a reception poolside at
the Westin Hotel from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
There will be a cash bar and hors d’ oeuvres for attendees.
SEFA will also host a reception in the convention center lobby from 5 to 6 p.m.
on Saturday night. It will be an open bar event.
Those planning on attending the show can save money by pre-registering for the
event. Plant owners pay $10 prior to July 15; the price goes up to $15 for
on-site registration.
Plant employees planning on attending can expect to pay $5 and non-exhibiting
allied trades must pay $50 for registration, regardless of signing up early or
at the event.
Those planning on signing up at the Savannah International Trade and Convention
Center can do so from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 25.
Cleaners who make the trip to the 2008 Southern Drycleaners Show will have two
excellent nearby lodging options to choose from.
The first will be the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa located at 1
Resort Dr.
Overlooking the Savannah River, the resort is located only 90 seconds by water
ferry from the heart of Savannah’s landmark historic district.
It also provides complete business services and recreational facilities,
including a riverside Jacuzzi, a heated pool, lighted Har-Tu tennis courts, and
an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Bob Cupp and Sam Snead.
It is located adjacent to the Savannah International Trade and Convention
Center.
The Westin will be holding a block of rooms for SEFA convention-goers through
June 23. To make reservations, contact the hotel at (912) 201-2000 prior to the
date and mention the Southern Drycleaners Show.
The other lodging option is the Four Points by Sheraton at 520 W. Bryan St.
The Sheraton is also very close the the convention center and the downtown
historic district of Savannah.
The hotel offers free High Speed Internet access in all 127 rooms. They will be
accepting reservations from show attendees through July 24.
