Making plans for CCA’s Long Beach trade show
The California Cleaners Association will host its Fabricare 2008 convention in August, but those planning on
attending should make reservations for hotel accommodations a little bit
earlier.
As with the traditions of past formats, the event will be held at the Long Beach
Convention Center, which is connected to the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, the
headquarters hotel for Fabricare 2008.
The Hyatt Regency offers views of the harbor, as well as spacious guest rooms,
wireless Internet and plush beds.
It is also within walking distance to the nearby Aquarium and Queen Mary.
CCA has procured a discount price of $185 per night for single or double
occupancy for Fabricare 2008 visitors.
To take advantage of the reduced rate, contact the hotel at (800) 233-1234 prior
to July 29. Callers should identify themselves with the CCA convention to
receive the discount.
This year, CCA anticipates over 3,000 attendees to pass through Fabricare 2008’s exhibit hall, including cleaners from more than 30 states and 5 countries.
The exhibit hall will feature al the latest products, services and equipment for
the drycleaning industry.
So far, CCA has already sold over 140 booths to exhibitors for the event.
An up-to-date floor plan of the exhibit hall is available for viewing on CCA’s web site, located at www.calcleaners.com.
Those interested in purchasing booth space can view the floor and select the
open booth of their choice.
The cost is $1,950 for association members and $2,650 for non-members for a 10'
x 10' space.
The exhibit hall will be open from 1 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22; from 11
a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday,
Aug. 24.
In addition to the exhibit hall, CCA plans to offer several educational seminars
throughout the weekend, covering a variety of drycleaning industry-related
subjects.
In the past, convention topics have included: state and national legislative
updates; management courses; human resources; print marketing; routes; leases;
contamination; customer service; e-marketing; technology; and many others.
There will also be time set aside for social networking and relaxing.
CCA will be releasing more information about its schedule of events and its
educational seminar topics and speakers in the near future.
For updates, check the association’s web site at www.calcleaners.com.
From the homepage, click on the “Fabricare” link at the top of the page.
There are separate sections for exhibitors, attendees, hotel information and
photos of past shows.
Potential exhibitors can view which booths are still available and read all of
the rules and information on contracts prior to registering.
For more information, contact CCA’s office by calling (916) 239-4070.
