More than 1,700 cleaners attend PDCA’s Expo 2008

Neither gloomy weather forecasts nor gloomier economic forecasts kept cleaners from the Pennsylvania and Delaware Cleaners Association’s Drycleaning and Laundry Expo in Atlantic City, NJ, Oct. 25 and 26.

More than 1,700 cleaners attended the two-day show, about 200 more than turned out for the show in 2006, and they had plenty to look at as more than 100 companies displayed equipment, supplies, and ideas that could help turn the tide in a challenging economy. With company representatives on hand to explain and extol their products, attendees had an opportunity to evaluate the selections and make best buying decisions for their businesses.

Augmenting the exhibit were a series of seminars on Friday and Saturday mornings (see page one) in which top experts advised on customer service, maintenance and marketing — all areas that are vital making sure that those buying decisions provide maximum return on investment.
