Royaltone Academy plans 2009 seminars on leather
Cleaners who farm out their leather garments to somebody else for servicing are
missing out on a golden opportunity.
At the Royaltone Leather Cleaning Academy in Tulsa, OK, Frank Lucenta and his staff can quickly teach cleaners who know
how to spot, clean and press cloth garments to do the same with leather items,
and make a lot more money, too. The educational process only takes a weekend.
In fact, two such sessions have already been planned throughout 2009. The first
will be held on the weekend of Feb. 12 and 13; the second is slated many months
later for Sept. 10 and 11.
During both classes, attendees will learn about the Royaltone Process, which is
designed to make leather cleaning 90% like regular drycleaning and wetcleaning.
For two days, cleaners will be taught how to apply the knowledge they already
know, as well as learn the 10 percent they don’t in order to successfully and profitably clean leathers and suedes.
During the first day of the program, attendees will spend the day in the
classroom, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The morning session will emphasize a variety of themes, including: the tanning
process; characteristics of suedes and leathers; identification of skins;
peculiarities of suedes and leathers; acceptance techniques; invoice ticket
preparation; spotting techniques for drycleaning; drycleaning charge levels and
run times; drycleaning machine configurations; testing drycleaning fluid;
gluing and sewing; and pressing and forming.
After an hour lunch break, attendees will be back in class from noon to 3:30
p.m. with a lot more topics on the agenda, such as spotting for wetcleaning;
wetcleaning methods; an introduction to spray finishing; spraying suedes,
neutrals and dyes; restoring luster and color; and water repelling and sizing.
The day will conclude with a summary and final exam on the day’s teachings.
The second day will be devoted to hands-on sessions in supervised, stimulated
in-plant conditions.
From 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., cleaners will apply the techniques they learned
on Saturday.
At the conclusion of the day, attendees will be awarded their diplomas.
Enrollment in the Royaltone Leather Cleaning Academy is limited to seven plant
owners/managers per training session and is filled on a first-come basis.
The cost of the instruction manual for the two-day program is $495 per
attendees, with up to 50% discounts available for multiple attendees from the
same plant.
As an added bonus, attendees will receive a copy of the course’s wetcleaning and drycleaning dvds at the conclusion of the weekend.
To sign up, contact Royaltone at (800) 331-5506 or send email to: frank@royaltone.com.
Once placement in the class is confirmed, a Royaltone representative will help
cleaners secure reservations at a local hotel that is located near the
Suedemate Plant. It also provides free courtesy car service to and from the
airport. Royaltone will provide transportation to and from the classroom and
cleaning plant.
Those who lack the time to attend might be interested in Royaltone’s correspondence course. The home study training program costs $450 per person.
