Evans re-opens two restoration plants
Evans Garment Restoration has announced the re-opening of plants in Sharpsburg,
GA, and Carrollton, TX.
The 18,000-sq.-ft. Sharpsburg facility serves Georgia and portions of Alabama
and Tennessee and is under the new ownership of Reese Johnson, who has many
years of industry experience serving the Atlanta market.
The 26,000-sq.-ft. Carrollton facility serves the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth
market under the corporate administration of Mike Rusciolelli, the company
president, with a new management team in place.
The plants specialize exclusively in insurance restoration work on textiles,
clothing and soft goods damaged by soot, smoke, water and mold.
Rusciolelli said Evans successfully restores 92-93 percent of the clothing,
textiles and soft goods in a normal claim through its patented process.
The company has also developed a proprietary system for the successful
restoration of more than 95 percent of soft goods — shoes, belts, purses, bags — that it processes and performs this work in-house.

Eagle star receives state license
Eagle Star Equipment, a Troy, Michigan-based textile-care equipment distributor,
has received its non-gaming supplier license from the Michigan Gaming Control
Board.
A supplier of laundry and drycleaning equipment as well as automated garment
conveyor systems, Eagle Star is the only company in its field certified to do
business with Michigan casinos.
Eagle Star Equipment has been working with the Michigan gaming industry for over
a decade, providing laundry equipment and systems, as well as ongoing support
and maintenance.
The level of business that Eagle Star has been doing with the Detroit casinos
precipitated the need to acquire the license.
To be considered for a supplier license, Eagle Star spent months completing the
necessary requirements, including FBI background checks.
“I am proud of our achievement in being granted this license,” said Michael “Stucky” Szczotka, president of Eagle Star. “This is an important first step for our company as we strive to be recognized as
a valuable source for textile care equipment in the Corporate and Indian Gaming
communities.”
Eagle Star offers equipment, parts and service, consulting, and laundry layout
and design.
