Obituary
Lou Kobus
Field rep for A.L. Wilson
Kobus spent his career working in the laundry and drycleaning industry, first as
an owner/operator in Lansing, MI, and then briefly as a technician for an
industrial laundry manufacturer. He worked for A.L. Wilson for the last 28
years.
“Lou was a familiar and welcome face in our industry, always wearing a smile and
telling a joke, and oftentimes sporting a pony-tail under his cowboy hat,” said Fred Schwarzmann, president of AL Wilson.
He parlayed his skills as a born entertainer and gifted accordion player into a
second career as a much-sought-after supper-club performer.
Kobus is survived by his wife, Irene, two sons and a daughter-in-law.
A Memorial Mass was held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano,
TX, on Nov. 27, 2009. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
