SEFA plans shirt seminar, July trade show in Tampa July
Cleaners who would like their plants to achieve perfection when finishing shirts
may want to keep their calendars open for the month of February.
The South Eastern Fabricare Association will be hosting a Feb. 20 seminar on the topic at Unipress Corp. located at 3510
Queen Palm Drive in Tampa, FL.
Consutlant and lecturer Jane Zellers, CED, will lead the seminar. She is a
former owner of drycleaning establishments and comes from a three-generation
drycleaning family. In fact, she has been involved in the laundry and
drycleaning industry all of her life.
Now, she offers lectures and training programs across the country and as far as
England, Australia and New Zealand.
She will demonstrate to attendees how to produce a quality shirt, including
determining the best wash formula and deciding whether to wash shirts loose,
put them in a net bag, or rope-tie them during the Saturday session.
Registration for the all-day seminar is $69 for SEFA/DLI members and $120 for
all others.
Seminar registration is available on the SEFA web site, www.sefa.org, or by
calling the association, (877) 707-7332.
Tampa will serve as destination for SEFA a second time this year. In addition
the Zellers’ seminar, it will also be the host city for SEFA’s biennial trade show.
The event will be held at the Tampa Convention Center on the weekend of July 17
and 18.
The price for a standard 10' x 10' booth is $825. However, that price drops for
exhibitors who reserve more than one booth space. The price structure changes
as follows: $800 each for two to three booths; $775 each for four to seven
booths; $725 each for eight to eleven booths; and $650 each for twelve or more
booths.
This year’s headquarters hotel for the convention is the Embassy Suites Hotel Tampa,
located at 513 South Florida Ave.
SEFA has secured a special room rate of $124 per night. Reservations can be made
through SEFA’s web site by clicking on the “2010 Southern Drycleaners Show” link from the homepage.
That will lead to a page that features additional information on the convention,
including links to exhibit applications and the main hall’s floorplan.
