Numbered poly bags
LYNDHURST, NJ — Sigma Garment Films, the largest North American manufacturer of all types of garment bags for the laundry and drycleaning industry, has five garment plants throughout the United States that produce garment film and other flexible packaging products.
The company maintains that bag count is paramount when it comes to a roll of poly bags. Sigma’s Accu-Count clear poly bags are consecutively numbered on a roll that guarantees the correct number of bags on each roll so the buyer knows what he is paying for and the true cost per bag.
These bags are available in all lengths, gauges and roll weights.
Each bag on every roll of Accu-Count has a small number telling which bag number is rolling off the roll. The highest bag numbers are the first to roll off; the sequence goes all the way to bag #1 at the core of the roll.
For example, on a roll of poly that is supposed to have 500 bags on the roll, the first bag off is #500, followed by #499, then #498 and so on to the very last bag at the core, which is bag #1.
Accu-Count bags are available from three of Sigma Garment Films manufacturing facilities — Epsilon South Carolina, Epsilon California and Southeastern Plastics in New Jersey.

PCI compliance upgrade
NORRISTOWN, PA — Dry Cleaning Computer Systems (DCCS) has partnered with Payment Processing Inc. (PPI) to deliver a comprehensive integrated payment solution needed for convenient, secure, and PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant credit card processing.
DCCS believes that PPI and its PayMover product will provide its customers with the best strategy to become PCI-DSS compliant. While taking steps to meet the upcoming PCI-DSS Standards, DCCS also included new credit card security features. Key features include:
• Credit card software is no longer needed on your system. All credit card transactions are processed and cleared through the PPI Gateway (PayMover). This means fewer issues, faster approvals, and lower costs.
• DCCS Revision 2010 includes additional security measures with the use of encrypted swipes. Credit card data is encrypted at the card swipe and is unavailable for anyone to see.
• Customers’ credit cards stored for signature on file (SOF) transactions can no longer be stored on your system. The credit card data is now stored securely within the PPI PayMover gateway. This is a benefit over storing credit cards on a local server, even if they are encrypted.
• PPI will meet or beat existing rates and provide 24-hour credit card support.
Upgrading to DCCS 2010 and PayMover is the only way for DCCS owners to address the need to be PCI compliant by July 1. There may be other steps needed to become PCI compliant and PPI can help you take those steps.
DCCS notes that prior revisions of DCCS, Windows and SuperDOS cannot become PCI compliant.
