SEFA lists speakers, topics for trade show in Tampa
The South Eastern Fabricare Association has set the schedule for its 2010 Southern Drycleaners & Launderers Show this month and it’s a busy one.
The event will be held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL, on July 17 and 18.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Ken Gronbach, an expert demographer, futurist and generational marketer.
Gronbach built his own $40 million advertising agency by anticipating markets and growing clients.
He is also the author of Common Census: The Counter-Intuitive Guide to Generational Marketing and The Age Curve: How to Profit From the Coming Demographic Storm.
In addition to delivering the convention’s keynote address at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, Gronbach will also be featured in a six-hour workshop called “Your Customers Are Changing, Are You?” on Friday that starts at 10 a.m. and runs until about 4 p.m.
During the all-day session, Gronbach will offer up a forecast of what retail drycleaners can expect in the future and some tips to help such business owners chart a path for success in the challenging times ahead.
His ability to forecast the future of commerce, culture and economics is said to be unparalleled in his field.
To check on availability of seating for  Gronbach’s Friday workshop, call SEFA, (877) 707-7332.
The association’s convention will officially kick off Saturday morning with a busy itinerary of educational programs.
First up at 8 a.m., Peter Blake of the North Eastern Fabricare Association and Brian Wallace of the Coin Laundry Association will work together to present a program on “Why Association Membership is Important.”

After lunch, Don Desrosiers, National Clothesline columnist and founder of Tailwind Systems, will help cleaners “Rethink Everything” at 1:30 p.m.
Jim Goulet of Steiner-Atlantic Corporation is also slated to speak in the afternoon at 3 p.m. He has spoken on the topic of equipment maintenance and numerous seminars and association trade shows in the past.
In the evening, SEFA will host a reception for attendees and exhibitors from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday morning, James “The Route Pro” Peuster will get things rolling with an hour seminar on the “Face-to-Face Secrets of Selling.” It will start at 8 a.m.
