R. R. Street & Co. Inc’s new product MulitSPOT is designed to avoid wasting time with trial-anderror
spotting when the cause of a stain is unknown. MultiSPOT safely removes many
stains, the company said.
MultiSPOT is a unique soil release agent that can be used in many ways.
MultiSPOT works as a combination wet-dry spotter for all solvents.
Street reports that when MultiSPOT is used on the board as a pre-spotter or
post-spotter, it removes unidentified and combination stains such as oily
foods, cosmetics, inks and imbedded soil and grime. It can be sprayed, brushed
on, or applied with a spotting bottle and, when used on the board, is easily
flushed with water or steam.
The company further noted that MultiSPOT is safe to use on most colors and
fabrics, even delicates, which makes it ideal for all skill levels.
MultiSPOT is also eco-conscious; all ingredients are biodegradable. It contains
no Proposition 65 listed ingredients, no perchloroethylene, and no other
halogenated compounds.
Mobile app for drycleaning

The mobile app lets customers connect to the cleaner’s store any time to get information about orders they have dropped off.
Customers can track orders, schedule a pickup or delivery, check a charge
account balance and find their order history for the last six months.
The free app is now available for iPhone. Versions for Android and Blackberry
will be coming soon.
For a monthly fee, Liberty will set up an account on its servers that allows the
cleaner’s customers to begin using the app to view account information. Customers can
only access the information that the app allows. The cleaner’s data remains secure.
To use the app, the cleaner must be running Liberty’s Touch Control software and have an internet connection with a static IP
address.
Liberty will provide free promotional material for in-store display to let
customers know about the new service. Liberty can also provide monthly
statistics detailing how many customers are using the application.
Coin laundry survey
OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL — The Coin Laundry Association is releasing the results from its annual industry
survey.
The survey contains both national and regional averages to give laundry owners a
benchmark for comparing everything from monthly revenue per square foot to
average rent on both a national and regional level.
The 26-question survey was designed and conducted by Readex Research, an
external research agency, and includes data regarding the following:
• Drop-off service base and delivery charges.
• Total size of facility in square feet.
• Percentage of gross revenue spent on payroll and utilities.
• Average attendant hourly wage.
CLA members have free access to the results and data interpretation online at
CoinLaundry.org. The survey is also available for purchase through the
association.
CLA is a not-for-profit trade organization with more than 2,500 members.
Cleaning spin filters

MICHIGAN CITY, IN — Sullair’s recently redesigned TS-20, 100 to 250 HP Two-Stage Tandem Rotary Screw
Compressors offer full load efficiency with increased levels of energy
efficiency and operating performance.
With the tandem’s variable capacity control, featuring spiral valve technology, further
operating efficiencies can be achieved during part load operation. The
compressors offer a choice of either constant speed drive models TS-20, TS-32
and TS-32S, with capacities of 500 to 3,000 acfm, or Variable Speed Drive (VSD)
models V-200TS and V-320TS, which have a capacity range of 495 to 2310 acfm.
Pressures for all Sullair Two-Stage Tandem models range from 100 to 175 psig.
Variable Capacity Control, achieved with Sullair’s spiral valve technology, allows the compressor to match pressure and capacity
with system demand. At full load, the tandem compressor and spiral valve have
proven to be 13 percent more energy efficient. At 60 percent load, the Sullair
two-stage tandem compressors provide up to 30 percent savings over single-stage
compressors.
Further part load and full load energy savings are achieved with optional
Variable Speed Drive (VSD), which provides the highest power factor over the
entire frequency range. This package, combined with the spiral valve, offers
the best control with the lowest turndown in the industry.
The Sullair tandem compressor with an optional heat recovery enclosure saves
more energy by recovering expended heat from your compressor that can be used
as supplemental comfort heating, or make-up air for process heating.
Soft-mount washers
OSHKOSH, WI — Continental Girbau Inc. recently added 90-, 130- and 255-pound capacity
washer-extractors to the E-Series line of high-speed washers.
The E-Series line now features 20-, 30-, 40-, 55-, 90-, 130- and 255-lb.
capacity models with a soft-mount design for easy installation and the
capability to reach extract speeds of up to 387 G-force.
E-Series models feature highly programmable Intelligent (Inteli) Control with 20
pre-programmed cycles and up to 79 owner-programmable cycles for complete
control of every conditional aspect of the wash process.
One feature of the Inteli Control is an optional Inteli Management Tool (IMTx)
that gives users the ability to program their washer via a personal computer.
Users can design wash programs and configurations on their PC and save them and
organize those files by account or category database. The programs can be
downloaded to a smart card, which can then be applied to one machine or series
of machines. The programs can be shared electronically with other IMTx users,
making programming easy regardless of the washer’s geographic location.
E-Series models also offer a significant reduction in water, gas and electricity
usage. They consume less water than traditional front-load washers and offer
high-speed extract up to 387 G-force, which can reduce the time it takes to dry
a load of laundry by as much as 50 percent.
The washers can be installed without bolts and special reinforced concrete
foundations, thus they can be installed in unconventional locations including
areas with wood floors and second-story laundries
