CLA to set sail from Miami for 50th anniversary cruise
To celebrate its half century of existence, the Coin Laundry Association has
booked cabins on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Bahamas excursion for the week of Oct. 11 to 15.
As part of the trip, CLA will also present multiple educational seminars — both on land at the Hyatt Regency Miami and on the open sea during the cruise.
CLA President and CEO Brian Wallace will offer a look and where the coin laundry
industry has been and where it is heading during “Future of the Industry Part I” on Monday, Oct. 11. The session is open to all CLA members at no cost.
Later in the day, those participating in the cruise will meet and depart from
Miami aboard the Majesty of the Seas at approximately 5 p.m.
The ship will arrive in Key West, Florida, on Tuesday morning. Attendees can
enjoy the “Conch Republic,” America’s southernmost tip and a festive island of colorful bars and characters.
The cruiseliner will depart Key West at 3 p.m. in order to be on route to
Nassau, Bahamas by mid-day Wednesday.
There, attendees can enjoy local hotspots Fort Charlotte and the Pirates of
Nassau Museum, see the underwater world of the Bahamas on a glass-bottom boat
tour, or snorkel with stingrays at Blue Lagoon Island.
The ship will depart the region at approximately midnight and then arrive at
Coco Bay, Bahamas, at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
Coco Bay is a tropical paradise equipped with new aquatic facilities, nature
trails and a ton of great places to simply sit back and relax.
Attendees will exit the area at about 5 p.m. in order to be back in Miami at
approximately 7 a.m. on Friday.
While the cruiseliner will have plenty of entertainment, including karaoke,
dancing and a spa and fitness center, CLA members will also have plenty of
informative educational sessions to choose from as they sail along between
ports of call.
A panel discussion on the “Future of the Industry Part II” will feature some of the best minds of distributors and manufacturers on the
forefront of technology and product development.
“Boosting Drop-off and Commercial Accounts” will examine some tried and true ways to capture new clients and discover
techniques to improve sales.
Coin launderers thinking about expanding will want to be present at “Multi-Store Management Secrets” which will reveal some of the best practices used by CLA’s most successful multiple location operators.
“Brand Masters: Marketing Means Business” will illustrate how some of the industry’s brightest minds are using today’s technology to improve communications with customers and potential clients.
Finally, “Transforming with Technology: Embracing It” offers some simple, small changes that can have a big impact on your business,
as well as how to retrofit your operations to accommodate some of the latest
technological offerings such as solar power, geothermal heat and card payment
systems.
The cost of the cruise ranges from $746 to $2,338 for single occupancy and $569
to $1,159 per person for double occupancy, depending on which rooms you reserve
on the cruise.
