IDC, CINET planning
pre-Clean convention
The International Drycleaners Congress and the International Committee of Textile Care (CINET) will host a one-day convention in New Orleans on June 19, the day before the official opening of the Clean Show.
The convention will begin at 9:15 a.m. with a series of reports from industry professionals from around the world on what is affecting business, the challenges they face and how these are being overcome.
CINET will then provide an overview of what it is doing to support the industry through several projects, including e-drycleaning, e-finishing and hygiene in drycleaning.
At a suppliers’ forum, supplier members of both IDC and CINET wil make brief presentations on the new equipment, processes and services that they will be promoting at the Clean Show and how these can lead to increased opportunities, productivity and, ultimately, improved profitability.
There will also be an update on other significant matters affecting the industry.
The convention meetings will conclude around 4:30 p.m., leaving time for attendees to gather informally before rounding off the day at the Gala Dinner at 7 p.m.
Full registration for the event is $186 per person which includes the conference sessions on Wednesday with morning refreshments and a plated lunch and the evening dinner exclusive of drinks. A dinner-only registration is available for $88 per person.
Registration can be completed on-line at IDC’s web site, www.idcgroup.org.
All activities will take place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans. The special show rate is available at the hotel for the IDC/CINET event, but reservations must be made by May 17 to guarantee that price. Call (504) 586-0300 or visit www.cleanshow.com.
