Obituary
John M. Taylor
President and owner of John Taylor Systems.
John M. Taylor, president and owner of John Taylor Systems, Inc., of San Diego, CA,
passed away peacefully at his home in Del Mar, CA on December 16 after a valiant fight with
pancreatic cancer.
He began his lifelong career in the laundry and drycleaning industry by operating the Spa
Cleaners in Palm Springs, CA. Later he joined his father-in-law, Art Sanders, and brother-in-
law, Gordon Sanders, at Washex Machinery of California. He then worked as a factory
representative for Washex Corp. of Wichita Falls, TX, and, following that, took a similar
position with G.A. Braun of Syracuse, NY.
He later founded John Taylor Systems and sold and installed many large hospital, hotel
and commercial laundry installations in the southern California area until his retirement in
2012.
He is survived by his children Kevin of Las Vegas, Kimberly King of San Diego and Darren
of Louisville, KY.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held July Fourth weekend at Del Mar Beach, one of
his favorite places.
