Street’s new Solvair cleaning technology is the company’s latest advancement in the science of cleaning. Solvair is not a replacement solvent, but a new approach to cleaning, combining soil and stain removal with environmental friendliness in a practical, sustainable, cost effective cleaning system. The Solvair process technology uses an environmentally friendly, proprietary fluid to clean garments and household textiles. The fluid has a broader range of soil removal capabilities than conventional solvents. There is no need for pre-spotting and the process requires virtually no garment classification. Drying is performed without heat. Garments are dried with a succession of cool rinses in pressurized liquid carbon dioxide. The end result is a drying process that is faster, more even and efficient than drying with heat. There is no residual solvent odor in fabrics and the risk of swales, set stains and shrinkage is reduced. The entire process takes less than 30 minutes and produces 60 pounds of cleaned items per hour. Street ’s has all the products and knowledge needed for stain removal, cleaning, filtration and finishing.
